Laminated Glass

Laminated glass is a composite glass product made by sandwiching one or more layers of organic polymer interlayer between two or more glass sheets. After undergoing a process involving high-temperature pre-pressing or vacuum treatment, followed by high-temperature and high-pressure treatment, the glass and interlayer are permanently bonded together. Laminated glass is widely used as safety glass because, upon impact, the intermediate PVB (polyvinyl butyral) layer acts to prevent it from shattering into sharp fragments like ordinary glass, reducing the risk of injury.
